So with chef Seema watch and learn how to make restaurant style Dal Fry at home only on Swaad Anusaar <br /> <br />Ingredients <br />- 1 cup of toor dal ( soaked for 15 minutes ) <br />- 1 or 11/2 cup of water <br />- 1 tsp of salt <br />- pinch of turmeric <br />- oil <br />- 1 tsp of cumin seeds <br />- 1 tsp of mustard seeds <br />- few curry leaves <br />- 2 tsp of ginger and garlic paste <br />- 2-3 green chillies <br />- 1 chopped onions <br />- 1 chopped tomato <br />- 1 tsp of red chilli powder <br />- 1 tsp of coriander powder <br />- 1 tsp of cumin powder <br />- water <br />- coriander leaves <br />- 2 dry chillies <br />- 1 tsp of garam masala <br /> <br />Method <br />- In a pressure cooker add toor dal ( soaked for 15 minutes ), water, salt and turmeric <br />- Mix it well and let it cook for 2 whistles <br />- Heat a pan and add some oil then add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,curry leaves,ginger and garlic paste and green chillies <br />- Turn off the flame of pressure cooker <br />- Add chopped onion to the tadka and cook it well <br />- Add chopped tomatoes to the tadka <br />- In the tadka, add red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,water and coriander leaves <br />- Add 2 dry chillies <br />- Add the cooked dal into the tadka <br />- Add garam masala, coriander leaves and the dal is ready to be serve.
